When we were growing up, we felt that cereal wasn’t satisfying. We had to eat a lot to feel full. Now, though, various companies are doing their best to entice us not just with flavor, nutrition, and fiber to fill us up, but texture, too. Zach usually sticks to three favorite cereals and August likes only two, so we thought to give Kellogg’s Frosted Mini Wheats Crunch a go and see if we would include it in our rotation.
The flavor was pleasant – mildly sweetened wheat, kind of like regular mini wheats with brown sugar. However, the crunch was the surprise. No amount of soaking in milk will soften these nuggets. Kellogg’s is serious when they put CRUNCH in capital letters on the box, because these are super crunchy! If you don’t like soggy cereal, or even softened cereal, this is for you. For us, though, we’re not a fan of the super crunch. We will stick to Cheerios (two flavors, peanut butter and cinnamon burst), Raisin Bran Crunch, and Shredded Wheat.
