Third Street Brewery, like an anxious teenager, is approaching its 18th birthday in March, yet the beer from this Santa Rosa company has been in distribution to the East Bay for less than two months.  Now that it’s readily available in eight counties around the Bay, we’ll be seeing more of this.  If the rest of the selection is anything like the Puddle Jumper pale ale with 5.6% ABV and unknown IBU, then it’s a promise that you’ll see me writing about others from Third Street.  The aroma is spiced and intriguing, while the taste is mildly fruity, leaning towards the stone fruits, without being saccharine.  A creamy and slightly bitter finish reminds you that this is a pale ale through the spicy nose and fruity palate.  After a long Saturday, this is all too easy to sip and savor.
