Ale Industries Golden State of Mind

A before-and-after like “final straw hat” or “carpal tunnel vision quest,” Golden State of Mind by Ale Industries is just like California, combining different elements to create something carefree and beautiful. All ingredients are locally sourced and organic when possible, reflecting the bounty and agricultural wealth of the state. This tribute to the Golden State with 4.4% ABV/unknown IBU has gone through a name change (“Orange Kush” was found offensive by some), and while the bottle says the California native ale is brewed with orange peel, chamomile, and coriander, I taste more floral notes with a hint of spiciness. For being an ale, it is milder and crisper than anticipated. It is suitable for the season as seen on the label here; however, be keen when looking for this bottle at your grocer, because the labels change seasonally with local artists’ commissioned work. It’s available year round, and a good brew for any day.
