Ale Industries Dueling Pipers
(Always drink responsibly. Seek help when alcohol affects your life and the lives of those around you. For readers of a legal drinking age.)
With unknown IBU and 12.25% ABV, Ale Industries‘ Dueling Pipers is, to me, a sly representation of Christmas. The ABV itself is Christmas Day (12.25% = 12/25); this could be a coincidence that I alone noticed, as the connotation was inspired by what I tasted. Zach took a sip to give me a second opinion, and for him the flavor was like what the label described: aged in rye whiskey barrels, there is a distinct whiskey undertone. But for me, this beer was fruity, dark, chocolatey, and spicy all in one, which to me is Christmas (I always have fruitcake and chocolate at Christmas [though not together]). If you’re in the mood for something adventurous, pick up a bottle at your Whole Foods or BevMo! and let us know what you think – do you agree with me on Christmas, or do you taste the whiskey like Zach?
