Schubros Brewery 680 IPA

Please don’t give me a hard time, I am well aware that I poured beer into a wine glass. But I couldn’t resist, the glass has my name on it! The russet color behind the pinup girl is telling of the caramel-toffee flavor of Schubros Brewery‘s 680 IPA with 6% ABV and 65 IBU. Balanced so well that it’s meant to pair with food and not overpower it, suggestions on the label say it goes with a variety of things, ranging from gingerbread to blue cheese – I tried it with gnocchi in a gorgonzola cream sauce, and it was great. Besides enjoying the beer itself, take satisfaction in knowing that 1% of its sales go directly to the local school system in which it is sold (buy it in Concord, 1% goes to Mt Diablo Unified School District, for example). You know as an educator I eat that up, so I drink this up happily.
