Widmer Brothers Brrrbon ’12
Widmer Brothers Brewing, I learned when I looked up their website, has a huge variety of flavored and infused brews. Their Brrrbon ’12 isn’t on the website, though, just the Brrrbon ’11. Since there is no official description from the makers that I can find and reference so that you may form your own opinion, I can give you this page for ordering it if you really want to try it but can’t find it in your area.
In my palate, this beer started off like a beer but the aftertaste made me think of white wine. I found it to be very sweet; although sweet beers do have a place in the world, I don’t go to that place often. Zach noted that it tasted strongly of whiskey, since it’s aged in bourbon oak barrels. He said he kind of liked it even though he generally doesn’t like beers, and he would get it again if he was in a beer mood.
